Photography workshop “All About Lighting”

This course is aimed at beginners and intermediate photographers alike. No prior studio experience is necessary although a basic understanding of exposure and how to operate your camera is required. 

I will guide over all the possible setups with on and off-camera lighting. You will understand why and when additional light is required. You will have a complete understanding of how to work with Speedlight or/and studio lighting.

Part 1: Theory

Types of lighting (besides natural)

  • External flash
  • Studio stobe
  • Studio strobe with generator
  • Continuies lighting 

Technincal characteristics and demonstration
Lighting triggers overview

15 minutes break

 

Part 2: Demonstration

Portrait photosession with a model

We will build the basic lighting setups.

 

Requirements

A camera with an external flash. If you don’t have an external flash unit, you can rent it for 10$.

Alternatively, consider purchasing a cheap but functional unit. It will be usefull anyway in your practice. Here are some recommendations:
